2025-2026 PROMOTION ACTIVITIES

This year we have the following 8th grade activities:

• 8th Grade Panoramic Picture Day on Friday, January 30 at 9:30 am
• AVID Promotion on Friday, May 22nd at 5 pm in Performing Arts Studio
• Immersion Graduation on Friday, May 29th at 5 pm in Performing Arts Auditorium
• 8th Grade Dance on Friday, June 5th at 5 pm in Performing Arts Studio
• 8th Grade Class Trip on Monday, June 8th from 8:30 am – 7 pm at Knott’s Berry Farm
• Promotion Rehearsal on Wednesday, June 10th during the school day
• 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on Thursday, June 11th 9:00 am and 11:30 am

8th Grade Promotion Activities Eligibility
To be eligible for the promotion, the 8th grader must meet the following criteria:

1. No more than two fails ("F") on the final semester report cards (January/June) combined.
2. No more than 500 demerits accrued.

It is also expected that students return all their textbooks, library books and chromebook before they promote.

8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
Thursday, June 11, 2026
1st ceremony at 9:00 am (Last names A-K) – Students should arrive no later than 8:30 am.
2nd ceremony at 11:30 am (Last names L-Z) – Students should arrive no later than 11:00 am.
Each eligible student will receive four tickets to the ceremony. Closer to the event, more detailed information will be sent to families and students. At that time, extra tickets may be requested based on availability. Every guest, regardless of age, MUST have a ticket to enter the Performing Arts Theatre. This includes infants and children, even if you plan to have them sit on your lap. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Food, drink, balloons, banners and flowers will not be allowed inside the theater.

2025-2026 Actividades de Promoción

Este año tenemos las siguientes actividades de 8vo grado:

• Día de la foto panorámica de 8º grado el viernes, 30 de enero a las 9:30 am
• Promoción del programa AVID el viernes 22 de Mayo a las 5pm en el estudio de Artes Escénicas
• Graduación del programa de Inmersión el viernes 29 de Mayo a las 5pm en la Sala de Artes Escénicas
• El baile de 8vo grado el viernes 5 de Junio a las 5pm en el estudio de Artes Escénicas
• Excursión de 8vo grado el lunes 8 de Junio a las 8:30am – 7pm en Knott’s Berry Farm
• Ensayo de Promoción el míercoles 10 de Junio durante el día de escuela
• Ceremonia de Promoción de 8vo grado el jueves 11 de Junio a las 9:00am y 11:30am

Los requisitos para las actividades de promoción de 8vo grado

Los requisitos para participar en la ceremonia de promoción de 8vo grado son:

1. No más de dos clases reprobadas (F) en el boletín de calificaciones (Enero/Junio)combinadas.
2. No más de 500 deméritos acumulados

También se espera que los estudiantes devuelven todos sus libros de texto, libros de la biblioteca y chromebooks antes de la promoción.

Ceremonia de Promoción de 8vo grado
Jueves, 11 de Junio
La primera ceremonia a las 9:00 am (Apellidos A-K). Los estudiantes deben llegar antes de las 8:30 am.
La segunda ceremonia a las 11:30 am (Apellidos L-Z). Los estudiantes deben llegar antes de las 11:00 am.

Cada estudiante elegible recibirá cuatro boletos para la ceremonia.  Más cerca del evento se enviará más información detallada a las familias y a los estudiantes. En ese momento se pueden solicitar boletos adicionales según disponibilidad. Todos los invitados, independientemente de su edad, deben tener un boleto para ingresar al teatro de artes escénicas. Esto incluye bebés y niños, aun si planea que se sienten en su regazo. Los asientos son por orden de llegada. Comida, bebidas, globos, flores o pancartas no se permitirán dentro del teatro.
